About Sabrina Ho Chiu Yeng
Ms. Sabrina Ho Chiu Yeng was born and grew up in Hong Kong.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Hong Kong. She has been acquiring working experience in various companies engaging in securities investment, hotel operations, legal duties, entertainment and property development and investment.
Currently, Chiu Yeng is the Project Managers of the upcoming hotels that are to be built in Macau – the Palazzo Versace and Karl Lagerfeld Hotel, she was the Project Director of Oceanwell Asia Limited, Business Development Director of Best Base Universal Limited, while managing and operating two boutique hotels of the family business in Hong Kong and Macau.
Chiu Yeng has also partnered with a Hong Kong Listed Company – the Poly Auction (Hong Kong) Limited, which specializes in auctioning high end jewelry and paintings and is a subsidiary of Poly Culture Group Corp Ltd., which is China’s largest state-owned auction house and holds the highest auction transaction volume of Chinese art in the world. It is also the one of the world’s three major auction houses.Chiu Yeng established the Poly Auction Macau Limited in 2015 holding the position of Director and Chief Executive Officer. Her vision is to promote the art and cultural development and the merchandising and sales of high end art pieces in Asia.
In 2016, Chiu Yeng established the Chiu Yeng Culture Limited holding the position of Managing Director. She has the initiative of promoting the art and cultural development in Macau and enhancing the platform of arts exchange of Macau internationally. She aims to bring in different possibilities to develop the city into a Young Art Capital in Asia. She has organized a hotel art fair in Macau since 2016 to promote cultural affairs and gave opportunities for local artist to showcase their talents.
Chiu Yeng Culture organized the first Macau Art Graduates Joint Exhibition - “Y Show” in September 2016. The event has displayed a collection of art works from local and overseas art graduates and aims to provide an opportunity for graduates to showcase their talents. This is also a platform for young artists to interact and stimulate their innovative ideas, at the same time, the exhibition also offers an opportunity for international large enterprises and designers to discover young potential design talents, and offer a direct job opportunity for fresh graduates. Assist in the building up of education development, international arts and cultural exchange channel to enhance Macau in becoming the Art Capital for young talents.
Chiu Yeng is prominent in voluntary and charity work. She is involved in both local and international charity organizations from Macau Service Centre to international charities such as American Foundation for Aids Research and The United Nations Children's Fund.
She was the honorary advisor of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts 2014-2015 and has donated paintings worth HKD 1.5 Million into the support of the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation. She is a CEO of Poly Auction Macau Auction Limited and she has organized a charity auction and it has auctioned USD 0.48 Million to support the charitable donation of amfAR Hong Kong in 2016.
The most significant achievement of Chiu Yeng was that she solely gathered 20 of the most famous and well-known arts in the whole of China and Hong Kong and raised almost USD 1.5 Million for a local organization Po Leung Kuk which supports autistic children and elderly in 2015. She also is one of the patrons of British Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum and the member of the Curatorial Friends Groups of The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
